The 4th of July on the Outer Banks is a time to gather together with friends and family and celebrate the independence that our ancestors diligently persevered to obtain and enjoying fireworks displayed over the beaches of the Outer Banks. Celebrating and giving thanks to all the men and woman that put and keep our beautiful country together as well as those who constantly sacrifice their lives and the lives of their families to keep us safe and free. We hope that this year you have a wonderful July 4th Celebration and so we have put together a list of the closest attractions and events that will be going on during this time and will have fireworks.

Hatteras Island 4th of July

Time: 9:15pm – 9:45pm
Location: Avon Fishing Pier 4th of July Celebration
Fireworks will shoot off the Avon Pier at Sundown.


Ocracoke Island Independence Day Celebration

Time: July 3rd  – July 5th, 2018
Location: Ocracoke Village
Island Square Dance, Fireworks, Lighthouse Tours, Vintage Car Show, 4th of July Parade. See Full Schedule for 2018


The 208th Army Band Concert followed by Firework Show

Time: 8:00PM – 9:30PM Gates open at 6:00pm
Location: Roanoke Island Festival Park
Bring Chairs and Blankets, Get there early to get a great viewing spot!


If You Choose to Stay-In

If you and your family choose to stay-in or watch the fireworks on television and avoid the crowds, there are vacation services to help the evening be just as joyful and momentous.
